Profile
Liverpool County FA are currently working in partnership with Northern Lights and have launched a weekly walking football session at LCFA Sefton.
Liverpool County FA will also be helping members of Northern Lights obtain training qualifications in the future.
The aim of the group is to encourage PwP (people with Parkinson’s) to take back any activities, hobbies or past times which the condition has taken from them.
It is important to put a smile back on their faces of both the individual and families because the impact of Parkinson’s’ extends far beyond the person diagnosed.
The walking football sessions are held every Friday from 12.15-1.30pm at LCFA Sefton.
John Roche, founder of Northern Lights, said: “I want to give something back to football as a thanks for everything it has given to me… we intend to give each and every PwP the opportunity and encouragement to join us and make football the key to their fight against Parkinson’s.”
