Walking Football with Sky Blues in the Community
Our Walking Football sessions are available to men and women over 50 years.
A slower paced version of the beautiful game – gives this generation the opportunity to continue a sport they may have always loved.
This project aims to tackle loneliness and isolation as we age, keeps the older generation active and reduces weight-related issues.
We have now expanded to encompass specific sessions for people living with cancer – this offers a support group and a social environment for local patients living with the effects the effects of cancer.
In connection with our Prostate Cancer Walking Football, we encourage PSA testing in all our attendees to increase early diagnosis. The leading volunteer on our Prostate Cancer sessions was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer as a result of our regular health testing.
