We are excited to announce the launch of Walking Cricket here at Budleigh – a relaxed way back into the sport or a sociable introduction to it, for men and women aged over 50!
BSCC will join a handful of clubs across Devon to offer this low-impact version of traditional cricket designed to accommodate players of all ages and abilities, especially older adults or those with reduced mobility.
Walking cricket sessions, open to both men and women, will take place from 10.30am until midday at Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club on Thursdays and true to its name, running is not required – players walk to score runs and move around and everybody gets the opportunity to bat, bowl and field in cricket positions.
The sessions will cost £4 (£3 for members) on a ‘pay as you go’ basis.
Once a team has been established there will be the option for matches against other clubs for those wishing to play competitively.
