The Kent Cricket Foundation’s Walking Cricket Programme is steadily weaving itself into the fabric of the county.
With seven hubs already thriving across Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, Greenwich, Maidstone, Sittingbourne and Strood, we’re excited to announce the launch of three new hubs in Bexley, Bromley and Tonbridge this month.
Walking Cricket offers a brilliant way for lifelong cricket lovers to stay connected to the game—and, just as importantly, to each other.
It’s a wonderfully adaptable sport: welcoming the seasoned “old timer” who knows exactly how to find the gaps in the field, while also embracing the enthusiastic newcomer keen to get active, try something different and make new friends.

What shines through most from our players is the deep sense of friendship and shared experience. Each hub is its own warm, lively community—but thanks to their connection through the Foundation, the wider Walking Cricket family comes together for friendly inter‑hub festivals, social gatherings and opportunities to enjoy watching elite cricket as a group.
