New players invited to join Redditch walking rugby sessions

A walking rugby group is inviting new players to join its weekly sessions.

The Redditch team, based at Redditch Rugby Club, on Bromsgrove Road, promotes a slower-paced, non-contact version of rugby that focuses on enjoyment, fitness and teamwork.

It is ideal for former players who want to get back involved in rugby, people recovering from injury, or anyone looking for a fun and social way to stay active.

Sessions run every Thursday from 7pm to 8pm.

Designed for all ages and abilities, walking rugby is especially popular among the over-40s and over-50s, but the group encourages anyone to take part.

The team has recently received sponsorship from local business Thorlux, whose support has helped the group continue to grow and attract new players from across the area.

No prior rugby experience is required.
