Dursley Rugby Club is hosting its first ever walking rugby festival this summer.
The event, taking place on Saturday, July 25, is open to teams from the local area as well as those from south Wales and Exeter, with a full day of sport and socialising planned.
Simon Bilous, president of Dursley RFC and a keen player, said: “Walking rugby is an increasingly popular, non-contact version of the traditional game.
“With strict rules prohibiting running and tackling, it offers an accessible way for players of all abilities to participate in the game.
“No experience needed, just come along and give it a try.”

Dursley Rugby Club Walking Rugby Festival
Known as the WRAMBLE festival, the Dursley Rugby Club Walking Rugby Festival marks a first for Dursley RFC, which introduced walking rugby seven years ago.
Teams are encouraged to enter mixed squads to promote inclusivity across genders and age groups.
Off the pitch, volunteers from Dursley Rugby Football Club will welcome teams with pitch-side hospitality, including food, refreshments, and a fully stocked bar available throughout the day and into the evening.
