Have a shot at Walking Cricket in Holbeach

Holbeach’s only active cricket club is on the lookout for new members

Walking cricket sessions have been going on at Tonic Health’s Holbeach Hub for around five years.

The indoor version of the game is played in the venue’s sports hall and, like walking football and netball, allows those with mobility issues a chance to participate.

The Holbeach Walking Cricketers play every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12pm.

As well as playing their games, they also help give a taste of the game to some of the other people coming through the Tonic Health doors.

The group’s Bob ‘Safe Hands’ Roe said: “We are a friendly group. It’s not serious and is just a lot of fun.

John Belsham added: “We do have a set of rules just to make it a bit more interesting, but it’s all about keeping active and having fun.”

Other all-inclusive activities Tonic Health puts on include archery, curling and bowling.
