Paul said “It was a privilege to play against world class players and on one of the finest golf courses in Europe. To win both titles was way beyond my target and expectation”.

The over 65’s win leaves Paul leading the FGAOE national tour with five tour victories at Okehampton, Oldham, Wooton Bassett and Colchester.

He now needs a first or second placed finish at the North / Liverpool Open in September, to secure top place and become National Tour Champion in front of Stephen Standord & Chris Wood. 2025 English number one George Anderson, is currently sidelined with health issues. Another victory would also secure Paul’s ranking as the English over 65’s new number one.
