Congratulations to Midlands Hockey Chair Tim Lorimer who recently accepted an award for a new group called “Walking Hockey and a Chat”, which he initiated and continues to organise!
The group has been running for around 18 months and started with 3 participants, and now boasts a register of 36 players which highlights both the need and value, especially for more mature people in the city. Offering exercise, company, friendship, improved mental health, and even a well earned hot drink and chat in the warm afterwards, they have even also started to play competitive matches…
