Tennis Wales awards funding to promote further inclusivity and diversification in tennis and padel
Tennis Wales has announced increased funding this month aimed at making tennis and padel more accessible and inclusive across Wales. The Tie-Break Fund investment awards revenue funding to tennis and padel projects that deliver equality, diversity, and inclusion aims for the game as part of the organisation’s commitment to diversifying the sport and ensuring it’s open to everyone, regardless of background or ability.
This year’s latest wave of funding will be allocated to a variety of programs and initiatives designed to break down barriers and encourage wider participation in tennis and padel, including:
- Criccieth Tennis Club (Visually impaired & walking tennis schemes)
- Tennis Squad (Mental health scheme)
- Age Connect (Dementia tennis scheme)
- Creigiau Tennis Club (Walking tennis scheme)
- Sport In Mind (Mental health scheme)
- Haverfordwest Tennis Club (Walking tennis scheme)
- Parkinson Cymru (Walking tennis scheme)
