A walking rugby team has completed a “brilliant” tour of North Somerset.
Amesbury RFC took their Walking Rugby team on a tour in North Somerset, between September 5 and 7.
A total of 21 players and supporters took part in the trip, which consisted of rugby games, camaraderie, and a range of drinks.
The team extended their thanks to Burnham-on-Sea RFC and Nailsea and Backwell RFC for their warm hospitality during the tour days.

Walking rugby matches filled the days, creating a friendly and jovial atmosphere, even though some players reported having sore heads and bodies afterwards.
Despite this, the presence of sportsmanship and cheerful spirits was evident between the clubs, as players from different teams seamlessly combined and played together through the tour, embodying the “true spirit of walking rugby”.

Amesbury RFC Walking Rugby is already looking forward to the next tour.
The team will welcome Footscray RFUC, on Saturday, October 4, on their own tour.
Both clubs will participate in some more walking rugby, before making their way to the club sponsor, the Kings Arms in Amesbury, for food and drinks.
