In partnership with tmactive, we launched Walking Cricket in Tonbridge at the Angel Centre with a fantastic turnout. We welcomed participants who, in many cases, hadn’t picked up a bat in years and some who were giving the sport a go. The chance to bowl, bat, and gently stretch their legs was warmly received, with many pleasantly surprised at how quickly muscle memory kicked back in.

It was equally rewarding to see newcomers embrace the sport with enthusiasm—smiling broadly as they connected with the ball and discovered the simple joy of giving it a solid whack. After learning the basics and taking turns at each skill, the newly formed group rounded off the session with tea, biscuits, and plenty of laughter, sharing stories, swapping sporting memories, and building new friendships along the way.
