A walking rugby team has won an award for good sportsmanship after playing five games at a festival.
Kingsclere RFC played at a walking rugby festival hosted by Old Leamingtonians RFC on Saturday, July 26.

The referees who officiated at the festival voted Kingsclere RFC the winners of the Good Sportsmanship Award.
Dilwyn, club chairman, said: “Walking Rugby is a very easy game to learn, no experience of rugby is needed and can be played with just 4 a side.

“It’s a great way to exercise, walking as fast or as slow as your body allows, with low impact on all your joints, you don’t need to be fit to play. The main aim is to enjoy yourself, make some new friends & get a little bit of exercise at the same time.”
The club plays mixed games on Wednesday evenings and women’s games on Thursday evenings, both sessions are held at The Fieldgate Centre between 7pm and 8pm.
