Market Rasen also hosted a charity showcase event of walking rugby to raise money to go towards first aid courses, defibrillators, British Heart Foundation and ambulance services.
More than 50 players, aged between 14 and over 70, took part in the charity match which was organised by Chris ‘Strappa’ Janney and Julian Anyon.
After the match ended in a draw, it went to a drop goal kick off, which was won by the old boys in blue.
The event raised £1,460 and organiser ‘Strappa’ said: “Walking rugby will definitely be included in the club’s itinerary from now on with plenty of interest shown already.”
