North Northamptonshire Council has launched a new campaign to inspire more residents to enjoy their local leisure facilities. The campaign highlights the wide range of year-round activities available for all ages and abilities, with information shared across council websites, social media and leisure venues.

One of the activities being spotlighted through the campaign is walking sports, which is attracting an increasing number of participants and demonstrates the inclusive, modern options available across the council’s leisure programme.

Walking Sports

Attendance is also on the increase from individuals with limited mobility as they value the low impact and non-contact nature.
Feedback consistently highlights the positive impact on mental health and wellbeing, with participants reporting improvements in mood, confidence, and overall mental wellbeing.
