While the Hockey season is coming to an end not all hockey finishes. A key focus of Salisbury Hockey Club is to provide a fun and friendly community that gives anyone who wants to play hockey the opportunity within the sport.
This year Salisbury Hockey Club has set up two new streams of hockey, Flyerz and Walking hockey that will run throughout the summer and they are keen to see new entrants into these sessions…
Walking hockey is as the name suggests hockey just at a walking pace. It’s great for people coming back to hockey due to age or injury but equally, it’s a good opportunity to try a new sport.

Miranda MacTaggart, Friday coach for walking hockey said: “We have a group that played walking rugby that wanted to try a new sport and a group that used to play but can’t keep up the pace anymore. It’s a real mixture of abilities from beginners to people who have played at a reasonably high level. It’s there for everyone.”
This year has seen a pleasing growth of both with two weekly sessions now running for each at the same time as each other. The sessions run on a Thursday between 6-7 pm and on a Friday morning between 10-11 am.
