Kent Cricket Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of the first-ever Kent Walking Cricket League, set to begin this year. With three founding teams already confirmed, we are now looking for additional clubs to join us and help complete the league lineup.

To make this opportunity accessible, we are delighted to offer limited funding support from the Coyler-Ferguson Charitable Trust, specifically designed to help clubs set up and sustain a new Walking Cricket team.

Street End Cricket Club and Folkestone Cricket Club will host their own taster sessions in the coming weeks. While Walking Cricket focuses on accessibility and inclusion, the standard of play has highlighted the depth of experience that exists within Kent’s local cricketing community. The Somerset Cricket Foundation Walking Cricket League competition, sponsored by Rajpoot Indian Restaurant and Home Science International Food, was once again hosted at the Highbridge Hub at Highbridge YMCA. Five teams from across Somerset took part: defending champions Weston, alongside Highbridge and Yeovil, with two new hubs—Bridgwater and Wells—joining the competition for the first time. The league was played over five rounds, from mid-February to mid-March, and featured some excellent cricket throughout.
