Parkinson’s Walking Cricket with Derbyshire Cricket Foundation & Parkinsons UK
Walking cricket is a slower-paced version of the game that is easily adaptable to a range of ages and mobilities. The sessions involve a variety of different cricket related activities such as catching, throwing, batting. It includes practicing skills such as hand eye coordination, balance and other motor skills.
Weekly every Friday morning 10:45-12:15 at St Nicholas Church, 2 Lawn Avenue, Allestree, DE22 2PE.
After we have finished playing, we will have a social time together over hot refreshments.
All mobilities and aids are welcome! We can adapt the session to how each individual is feeling on the day. Careers are welcome to join in and/or watch.
There will be a small charge of £3 per session, but carers/plus ones do not need to pay. Please come in clothes and shoes you feel comfortable and stable exercising in.
There is parking directly outside the building, which is all on one level and wheelchair friendly.
