Still want to play football, but don’t have the same stamina and pace that you once had? Then walking football is ideal for you. Even if you still play, walking football is still a challenge and might even help improve your touch, it’s also a great way of getting fit.
There is no membership and no pressure, just a bunch of guys who would probably never have had the opportunity to play again. And of course, the banter. It’s the one thing that most players say that they miss the most, there’s plenty of that.
In general, it’s aimed at the 50+ age group (there is no upper age limit), but we encourage those at 45+ who may have finished playing early due to injury or ill health to come along.
In the summer months, we meet at RM Condor every Wednesday. The session starts at 1900 for an hour, but we would appreciate it if you were there for 18.40, this helps us sort out the admin and gives us the full hour for playing.
In the winter, we play indoors at RM Condor. The session starts at 7.30, but it’s important that you are there for 7.10, if you are late, you will not be able to get in. Both sessions costs £3.50 (£2.50 for pensioners and unemployed).
We are a non affiliated, non profit club, any money left over from the hire costs will be used for the benefit of the club.
