Walking Sports is becoming popular! Find out more about our Walking Sports sessions for 18+ in the community which includes opportunities to get involved through the 60+ programme… Walking Rugby, Walking Football, Walking Netball and Walking Hockey
Walking Football is designed to help people get fit or maintain an active lifestyle no matter what their age and fitness, as well as support people getting back into football if they have given it up due to age or injury.
Actif Communities, in partnership with Wales Walking Football, have set up a number of Walking Football sessions across Carmarthenshire in order to increase the amount of opportunities for adults to participate in physical activity.
As the name suggests, Walking Football is an adapted version of the traditional sport where players walk instead of running or sprinting. This exciting and inclusive sport encourages people to stay active regardless of their age, fitness level and ability.
Not only are there lots of health benefits, Walking Football can be the perfect opportunity for those looking to make new friends, have fun and try something new.
The sessions are aimed for anyone aged 18 and over, regardless of football experience and ability.
