Walking football is one of the fastest growing versions of the game in Wales. The club is very proud to have two sides (over 50s and over 60s) that play within the Welsh Walking Football League. Under the leadership of founder, Dave Allen, the team train and play at Llanelli Leisure Centre and at Walters Road. The Reds are able to boast a number of internationally capped players including goalkeeper, Peter Fitzgerald, and defender, Dermot Hurley.

This popular version of the game is usually played with teams of 5 or 6 players and can be played both at indoor and outdoor venues. Walking Football Is a full body workout and is a great tonic for physical and mental health & the feel good factor. Llanelli Town AFC Walking Teams are members of The Wales Walking Football Federation & Wales Football Association.

The club are also very keen to expand the women’s section during the next 12 months and we are always pleased to welcome new players (whatever your experience).
