Leyton Orient Walking FC is a FA Charter Standard London FA Affiliated walking football club which was started in 2015 by local walking football enthusiasts and Leyton Orient Trust with the primary aim of getting those who are over 50 participating in a fun, safe, social activity to address the known physical and mental health issues of this age group.
The club now has more than 150 members registered with regular attendances of up to 30 on each of the four long running weekly sessions which includes Women over 40s walking football sessions.
The Club has over 50s, over 60s, over 65s, over 70s and women’s teams competing in leagues, tournaments and friendlies across the south-east of England.
The Club has close ties with Leyton Orient FC with regular pieces in match programmes and with walking footballers participating in match day events on the Brisbane Road pitch.
The training sessions are on
• Tuesday evenings (over 50s) – 6.30 – 7.30pm Ashton Playing Fields
• Thursdays (over 50s) – 11 – 12pm Feel Good Too Sports Centre, Ive Farm
• Fridays (over 60s) – 11 – 12pm Feel Good Too Sports Centre, Ive Farm
• Monday and Thursday (Womens over 40s) – 6 – 7pm Score
These sessions are open to all and cost £4 (first session is FREE).
ALL Training is currently restricted due to FA Guidance re Covid-19.
