Everton in the Community hosts a number of Walking Football programmes to encourage people to remain physically and socially active playing football, albeit at a slightly slower pace.
The free-to-attend weekly football sessions are delivered by qualified Everton in the Community coaches at the People’s Hub all-weather astro-turf pitch.
Training sessions are fun and open to all regardless of your ability whether you’ve played before or giving it a go for the first time.
• Walking Football Project – Everton’s Walking Football project is an all-encompassing session and is open to all men and women over the age of 40, regardless of ability.
Every Monday and Wednesday 6.30pm until 8pm

• ‘Keep Your Boots On’ is a Walking Football session for both male and female members of the community who are retired or soon-to-be retired. They may be socially isolated, interested in becoming more active or looking to take up a new hobby to aid the transition into retirement.

• ‘Head in the Game’ is an expansion of Everton in the Community’s Walking Football offering, with the session providing a specific provision for those living with Dementia.

• Parkinson’s Walking Football Delivering fun, inclusive and low-impact walking football sessions for people living with Parkinson’s in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Every Monday 12.30pm until 2pm

For those with a more competitive nature, the programme has an official Everton Walking Football team that compete in local, regional and national tournaments.
