Mountbatten Walking Football Club

Mountbatten WFC is a walking football team based at the Mountbatten Leisure Centre in Portsmouth, UK.

Mondays 6 – 7pm. £4 pp, age group 45+, inclusive, mixed sessions

This is a walking football session for all standards. Most players have a reasonable ability, fitness and knowledge of football. Our sessions are played outside, all year round.

You’ll need a sturdy pair of trainers, suitable for 3G/Astroturf. No studded boots though. We recommend shin-pads, but do not insist. After all, it is a walking sport with minimal contact, but better safe than sorry is our philosophy.

We offer sessions with football training, mild exercise and actual matches. It is best to email or telephone us in advance, but failing that, just come along and we’ll accommodate you as best we can. Due to current Covid restrictions, sessions may be cancelled at very short notice.
