For many people come 35 the boots have been hung up. At Farnham Town Football Club our aim is to keep the local community active and involved in the game as long as possible which is why in 2020 we teamed up with Waverley Borough Council to launch Farnham Town Walkers.
At Farnham Town Walkers we want to build a team who enjoy football and a good social environment, but most importantly want to stay active. Our long term aim it to be able to enter teams into both 50’s, 60’s and 70’s leagues.
Although walking football is aimed at people over the age of 50 we also encourage players who fall below this age looking to stay playing but can no longer compete playing in the vets league.
Our Farnham Town Walkers play every Tuesday night at Weydon School, Weydon Ln, Farnham, GU9 8UG 6-7.30pm on a state of the art 3G.
Playing on 3G reduces the threat of pain, discomfort and injury, with players walking briskly through matches.
