You thought your playing days were over!
OLRFC’s Walking Rugby every Wednesday 6.45pm – 8pm
Walking Rugby is intended to be a simple version of Rugby suitable for ex-players, injured players and non-players of all ages, abilities and gender who enjoy an active and physical, above all, competitive passing game using a rugby ball.
Walking rugby is a slower, non-contact version of the game. It does look funny at times but is a highly effective way of raising your heart rate.
You will need to work with your team mates to score a try – which cannot be achieved by standing still or ploughing forwards with the ball in hand. You must weave, twist, turn and pass – what the walking does though is it enables those of varying levels of ability, strength, age and fitness etc. to compete equally against each other.
The feel of the sessions will be very much social and fun, whilst providing physical activity
All ages, gender and abilities welcome – No running, no sprinting, just walking
