Profile
Walking Tennis is for anyone that wants to play tennis, but at their own pace. No running or jumping and you can let the ball bounce twice. Less speed but just as much fun! Ideal for anybody looking to build their confidence, returning from injury, or would just like a bit more time getting to the ball.
Walking Tennis is safe, fun, inclusive, and is a game that’s open to anyone – whether you’re a complete beginner, a lifelong tennis player, or just need a bit more time to get into the swing of things, you can give the game a go in a supportive setting.
You can play tennis at any age and Walking Tennis has been designed to be accessible for all, plus offers an easy way for people of any generation to keep their body and mind active – while also enjoying the social side of being part of a tennis community. It’s still tennis – but you can let the ball bounce twice for extra time. It can be purely social, or nicely competitive – but everyone can play!
Walking Tennis at Somerton Tennis Club – open to all, including non-members – each Friday 10–11am No racquet, no problem, we will lend you one of ours…
