We will be holding a Club Forum on the 24th April at 7.00 PM at the Shrewsbury Club and Cathie Sabin Centre and everyone is invited to attend.
The main focus of the evening will be walking tennis – a growing branch of tennis which is ideally suited to older players and those with mobility issues. There will be an on-court session in the Cathie Sabin Centre led by Neil Bates from Hereford and Worcestershire who is working with us to grow walking tennis in Shropshire, so please come ready to play some walking tennis and experience it first hand.
We will also be giving a walking tennis starter pack to all clubs who attend the forum and thereafter commit to running a regular walking tennis session at their club and also to providing us with feedback on how the session is going.
As well as walking tennis, the forum will provide an update on the LTA strategy and anything else of note happening either within Shropshire or nationally, as well as giving you a chance to catch up with other clubs and ask us any questions.
Please let Sharon know whether or not you are able to come by emailing her on sharonp.tennisshropshire@outlook.com
If there is anything which you would like us to cover at the forum then please also let Sharon.
Hope to see you on the 24th!
