2 Jun 2026 1 min read No comments Walking Rugby News

Ross High Rugby Club is inviting people to try out walking rugby free of charge next month.

Backed by the SRU and East Lothian Rugby, the initiative aims to make rugby more inclusive.

Walking rugby offers a slower, non-contact alternative to traditional rugby, catering to individuals of all fitness levels.

Each session involves light warm-ups, simple drills and friendly games, eliminating the need for prior rugby experience.
The free sessions will be held over three consecutive Thursdays: June 4, June 11 and June 18.
The first session is 7-7.45pm on June 4 at the rugby club in Tranent. Booking is required.

The focus is on gentle movement, teamwork and enjoyment, making it an ideal option for those returning to exercise, managing a long-term condition or seeking a sociable way to stay active.
