Come and Try Walking Rugby 10 – 11am Tuesday 12 May at Salisbury Rugby Club, Castle Road, Salisbury SP1 3SA

Walking rugby is a competitive but non-contact version of rugby; there’s no running, tackling, line outs or mauls.

It’s suitable for both men and women and is a great way to remain active, improve fitness and hand to eye co-ordination.

Come along and try a few practice elements and play some games.

Afterwards, we’ll take you to the Clubhouse for coffee and maybe a biscuit. No need to book but if you need further information, please contact 07977 917009.

Silver Salisbury are a small, registered charity based in South Wiltshire. We aim to reduce loneliness and isolation by supporting older people to be active in their local community. We have 5 volunteer founding trustees who all live locally. Our Chair, Irene Kohler is Salisbury’s Older People’s Champion.

We promote local groups and activities where older people will get a warm welcome in Salisbury, Amesbury, Downton and Wilton and the surrounding areas. Research shows that overcoming isolation improves health and wellbeing, leaving older people feeling better and reducing the demand for health and social care services.
