A cricket club is launching a new walking cricket initiative.
Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club (BSCC) will introduce the low-impact version of the sport for men and women aged over 50.
Walking cricket is designed to accommodate players of all ages and abilities, especially older adults or those with reduced mobility.
The sessions will take place from 10.30am until midday on Thursdays at BSCC.
True to its name, running is not required in walking cricket.
Players walk to score runs and move around, and everyone gets the opportunity to bat, bowl, and field in cricket positions.
The sessions will cost £4 (£3 for members) on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Once a team has been established, there will be the option for matches against other clubs for those wishing to play competitively…
