Fakenham Rugby Club hosted its second walking rugby tournament, drawing teams from across the county.

The event, held on Saturday, June 6, saw participation from Diss, Lowestoft and Yarmouth, Wymondham, March, and Norwich.

The sport, tailored for older players, bans running. The tournament, structured around a league system, featured 20-minute matches.

Jeffrey Pearce, the event organiser, was thanked for the day’s success.

Fakenham Rugby Club was also appreciated for its hospitality, serving beer, coffee, burgers, bacon butties, and hot dogs for spectators and resting players.

Fakenham Walking Rugby meets every Wednesday evening from 7pm to 8pm at Fakenham Rugby Club.
