Market Rasen & Louth RUFC took on a 24-hour bronco challenge, starting on Friday, August 9, to raise money for Dementia UK and a “huge clubhouse redevelopment”.
The challenge involved each player running a combined 1200 metres on the hour, every hour, as fast as possible. Sixteen players completed the whole 24 hours, supported by other senior and junior players, and club supporters, throughout.
On the Saturday, there was also a walking rugby match and a host of other activities. The bronco challenge was player-led and backed by everyone at the club with 70% of the money raised going to Dementia UK and the rest for the club’s redevelopment – donations can be made HERE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/24-hour-bronco-challenge
The club wanted to raise money for Dementia UK as it is a cause close to their hearts.
Former player, and club member, Mason Cole is suffering from dementia, and his son Ollie played for the club for several years….
