Walking Netball with Diamonds Netball
This low impact version of the sport opens up the game to people who may not be able to play the original version. By removing jumping and slowing the running to a walk, the game can be loved by older people, people with disabilities or illnesses such as arthritis or joint problems or those recovering from injury. Aswell as being great for fitness, mobility and co-ordination, it is a brilliant social activity that has a positive effect on mental wellbeing for those who normally would not be able to participate in group exercise.
Fridays | Holland Sports Club DE13 8BB | 1.30-2.30pm
Net & Natter Walking Netball
These sessions are a relaxed way for older adults to play walking netball. It is a slower paced version of Walking Netball with a soft ball so they are kind to hands. These sessions are adapted to suit everyone regardless of ability and capability and will give you a refresher on the rules (so perfect for total beginners) . They improve fitness and mobility aswell as mental agility and co-ordination. You’re never too old… currently our eldest player is 85! And men are now enjoying the sport too! Then its time for team talk over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
