A HEALTH insurer has thrown its support behind a growing grassroots sports team.

Vitality made a grant for grassroots sports for Moore RUFC’s walking rugby team, which has generously provided new playing kit.

The team brings together former players and newcomers of all ages and abilities to enjoy the inclusive, low-impact game.

“Their support means a lot, not just because of the kit but also because it shows that businesses are recognising the value of walking rugby in promoting fitness and friendship and fostering a great community spirit.”

The team debuted their new kit at a recent walking rugby festival in Northwich, which they went on to win.

Walking rugby has been running in Moore for six years and is one of the fastest-growing versions of the game.
