Get ready to jingle all the way through St Albans as the Rudolph Run returns on Sunday, December 7, bringing festive cheer and family fun to the city’s streets – all while raising vital funds for local hospice care.

Hosted by Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, this annual festive event invites families, friends, and festive fanatics of all ages to don their antlers, pull on their brightest Christmas jumpers, and take part in a 1.5km or 5km fun run starting at the Waterend Barn on St Peter’s Street.

To add to the festive fun, a face painter will be on hand to help runners look the part and prizes will be awarded to the best dressed adult, child and canine companion!

Angela said: “After our friend, Alison, died last year, a member of our walking netball group suggested organising a fundraising event in her memory. We asked which charity Alison’s family would like us to support and they explained that Rennie Grove Peace had been wonderful in caring for Alison at the end of her life.

“Our walking netball group is made up of people ranging in age from 40 to 80 so we wanted to choose a fundraising event that would suit everybody. The members decided on the Rudolph Run and we’re looking forward to taking part as ‘Ali’s All-stars’.

“It will be a great opportunity for us to get together, take part in an activity we will all enjoy and raise money for a great local cause in memory of our dear friend, Alison. Look out for us in our matching ‘Ali’s All-stars’ t-shirts on the day!”

Runners are being challenged to raise £99 which could fund three hours of care from a Rennie Grove Peace physiotherapist who works with patients to manage their symptoms and boost their quality of life through movement.  Anybody who raises over £99 will earn a limited-edition Rudolph Run running buff…
