Wellington Walking Netball are looking for new players.

A spokesperson said: “No netball experience required, just the desire to meet some like-minded people, get active and learn a new skill.

“2026 marks the 100th birthday of England Netball and so we are offering the first session completely free, no pressure to join in, just come down to Court Field School and have a look.”

Sessions take place in the school’s sports hall on Mondays from 7pm to 8pm.

The very first Walking Netball Tournament hosted at Lagan Valley LeisurePlex has been hailed a resounding success, bringing together six teams for a fun-filled day of competition. Organised by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council in partnership with Netball Northern Ireland, the tournament aimed to promote Walking Netball and encourage participation in a welcoming environment, with the emphasis firmly placed on enjoyment rather than competition. Teams taking part included The Duffers, Lagan Ladies, Lecale Ladies, Forum Foxes and Crumlin Stars.
